Free Image Resources
These are a few free and legal image resources that can help you to find good images to add to such things as blog posts.
"Open source" images
These are images that are licensed very freely under such licenses as
Creative Commons Attribution/Sharealike, Free Art License, the
GFDL, or even in the public domain. They should be free to use anywhere without needing to get permission, though care should be taken to follow the specific terms when applicable. In most cases, you should take a look at these sites first.

- Wikimedia Commons - The storage place for all free media used on Wikimedia sites (including Wikipedia).
US Government image galleries
These are image galleries on US government sites. All images produced by the US government are in the public domain.
Free with some restrictions
These are images that are free for some purposes, but are restricted as to how they can be used. If you are doing anything noncommercial, this should be no problem.
